It all started when Borja Nebreda decided to take a bold step forward and pursue his dream. After more than a decade working in some of Europe’s most prestigious shipyards, he knew the time had come to create something different: a company dedicated not only to building high-performance yachts but also to creating an environment where positivity, collaboration, and innovation are at the heart of everything we do.
Under Borja’s leadership, our culture is deeply rooted in the philosophy of surfing and skateboarding: freedom, balance, and respect for nature. Under his leadership, Biscay Composites specializes in crafting custom carbon fiber components and tackling complex refit projects for some of the world’s fastest ocean-racing yachts. Borja’s hands-on approach, honed through years of experience working on projects like the Malizia SeaExplorer and multiple Vendée Globe contenders, has made him a key figure in the boatbuilding industry. His expertise ensures that every yacht not only competes but excels in the most demanding competitions and extreme conditions.
