Refit for Team Dubreuil

Over a period of two weeks, our team carried out a complete restoration of the IMOCA 60 for Groupe Dubreuil. This meticulous project encompassed everything from repairing critical areas to comprehensive optimization of the boat, ensuring its exceptional performance for upcoming competitions. Each phase was executed with technical precision and high quality, reflecting our ability to handle complex challenges and maintain the highest standards in the boat building sector. The final result is a refurbished boat, ready to face any challenge on the water.

Construction Process:

Mast Fairing Repair: We removed the damaged areas and built custom molds to replace the fairing panels. This process ensured a durable and precise repair.

Rear Cockpit Bulkhead Repair: We removed the inner skin and damaged core from the bulkhead (the internal wall of the cockpit), prepared the surface, and applied a new foam core to ensure strength and durability.

Monolithic Area Repair in Hull Stringers: We determined the specific repair process for each stringer (internal hull reinforcement), including the preparation and reinforcement of affected areas, to ensure the structural integrity of the hull.

Keel Support Repair: We removed the top chainplate from the keel support, sanded the surface to remove paint and fillers, and prepared the surface for applying new reinforcements, ensuring a comprehensive repair.

Rear Hull Core Replacement: We removed old paint and fillers, replacing the Nomex core with a new M130 foam core. This process included surface preparation, sealing to ensure vacuum-tightness, and lamination of the new base laminate of the hull.

With this repair, the IMOCA 60 is ready to successfully tackle future competitions, reflecting the commitment and technical skill of our team.
